The largest sports radio station in the world, TalkSPORT, has teamed up with the Raheem Sterling Foundation to open a brand-new Broadcast Academy in Manchester and London.

The talkSPORT programming team will help and guide a group of young people from the Ark Elvin Academy, the Young Brent Foundation in London, and the HideOut youth zone in Manchester as they develop, produce, record, and edit podcasts over the course of 12 classes.

The Report Academy will provide students a taste of the variety of possibilities in sports journalism while also teaching them how to record and report. Raheem himself and a few other well-known athletes from talkSPORT will be interviewed.

After then, the podcasts will be made available on the Raheem Sterling Foundation’s and talkSPORT’s websites.

Lee Clayton, talkSPORT’s head, stated, “The talkSPORT team is thrilled to be supporting the launch of the Youth Broadcast Academy.” TalkSPORT is the perfect location for the Academy because it is the biggest sports radio station in the world. talkSPORT and Raheem Sterling are now teaming up to help provide new opportunities for young people

The Raheem Sterling Foundation’s chair of trustees, Clive Ellington, said, “We are excited to announce that the Foundation will be working with the biggest sports radio station in the world on another new and exciting project.”

“The Raheem Sterling Foundation and talkSPORT have very similar objectives.” Our objectives, which include opening up new opportunities and helping the next generation gain knowledge and skills in a subject that is growing quickly, are aligned with this project.

Ark Elvin Academy principal Becky Curtis said, “We are incredibly proud of our students who will be a part of this fantastic project led by The Raheem Sterling Foundation and talkSPORT.” The chance for our young people to engage with some of their real-life role models and obtain real-world media work experience is great. We want our kids to know that they can pursue jobs in sports and the media. Who knows, Elvin might be the next big thing in sports broadcasting!

Recently, the Raheem Sterling Foundation and the Youth Justice Legal Center announced their partnership. This new partnership is in line with the Foundation’s goals of expanding educational and career opportunities and removing barriers to social mobility.
