The Three Lions star put on a show during the 2-0 win

The young player and the Three Lions star walked out onto the Emirates field prior to Tuesday’s game.

As he lined up with the Gunners for the Champions League song, the seven-year-old smiled.

As Saka scored the second goal in the hosts’ loping 2-0 victory, Thiago proved to be a lucky omen.

On X, a thrilled Arsenal admirer said, “What a fantastic gesture from our captain.”

“A special moment for Saka and Thiago,” said another.

A third individual said, “I love this.”

A fourth individual speculated, “Sterling is doing everything he can to turn this into a permanent transfer.”

Even at the age of one, Thiago was exhibiting the qualities of a great child. Thiago became popular as a child after showing off his football skills to his father during an indoor game.

Sterling is presently on loan to Arsenal from Chelsea, his parent club. Last month, the 29-year-old discussed his potential life beyond football for the first time.

In addition, he has no interest in becoming a coach, which is the typical career path for many sportsmen.

Sterling wrote in the Gunners’ matchday schedule against Leicester, “I don’t know about coaching yet, but maybe something to do with working with young players and trying to help them.”

Sterling has only made two appearances since moving from Stamford Bridge in the summer.

However, he believes he still has a lot to offer the field as Arsenal looks to win a trophy this year.

He went on to say, “I don’t know [about role after retirement] – it’s a way off yet.” Later is when that will have to wait.

“I would like to get qualified, but I think I’ll prioritize playing over coaching first.”
