During Sunday’s Premier League loss to West Ham United, Declan Rice showed off a tattoo of a newborn boy, seemingly confirming the birth of his first child with partner Lauren Fryer.
Earlier this month, the England international revealed a tattoo of the child’s name and alleged birthdate, August 7, which sparked rumors that he and his long-term partner had a boy named Jude.
Jude’s star sign, Leo, which is associated with attractiveness and self-assurance, was also depicted in the delicate tattoo on Rice’s lower left arm, the captain of West Ham.
But that wasn’t enough to motivate the football player and his struggling club to a much-needed victory; they lost to Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 at home, dropping them to the bottom of the Premier League.
When West Ham lost to newly promoted Nottingham Forest six days prior, the inking was covered with bandages, which is customary with new tattoos.
The 23-year-old Rice and Fryer have been romantically connected for the past six years, but they would like keep their relationship private.
In 2021, the pair made a rare public appearance at the Reading Festival, letting their hair down despite their desire for privacy.
After Liam Gallagher, the famed former Oasis hellraiser, performed as the main act at the annual event, they were photographed rubbing shoulders with him.
Previously, Rice said that his long-term partner is envious of his relationship with Chelsea star Mason Mount, whom he first met at the west London club’s school.
“My missus is quite worried,” he told The Sun. I mean it when I say this. She is quite concerned.
“You two… you love him more than you love me” is what she never stops saying. To be honest. We constantly get it in the neck. However, they must comprehend the friendship.
