Diogo Jota’s Wild Encounter at Dubai’s Exclusive Zoo
Liverpool forward Diogo Jota might consider a career as a zookeeper after retirement, as he recently got up close and personal with exotic animals during a visit to Dubai’s renowned private zoo, owned by Rashed Belhasa.
During his visit, Jota embraced the thrill of the experience, even taking a significant risk by draping an enormous snake around his neck. He also fed various animals, including horses, and shared a bite of food with a friendly giraffe. The 25-year-old seemed at ease among the zoo’s diverse inhabitants, from mischievous monkeys—who appeared to take a particular liking to him—to a baby crocodile that he cradled with a grin.
Jota’s adventure quickly caught the attention of his Liverpool teammate, Alisson Becker. When the Portuguese star posted about his encounter with the animals on Instagram, Alisson jokingly responded with the hashtag #DrDolittle, referencing the fictional character known for communicating with animals.
Belhasa’s zoo has long been a favorite destination for football stars, with past visitors including Luka Modric, Paul Pogba, Lionel Messi, and David Luiz. Chelsea players Reece James and Mason Mount also spent time there last year, enjoying the hospitality and unique animal interactions.
While Jota appeared to be relishing his holiday, he remains focused on his return to action as Liverpool prepares for their final game of the year. Until then, his wild adventure in Dubai will certainly be a trip to remember!
