Mohamed Salah Spotted in Mykonos Ahead of Liverpool Pre-Season Return
Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah has been soaking up the sun in Mykonos, enjoying the final days of his summer break before returning to Merseyside for pre-season under new head coach Arne Slot.
While Liverpool’s preparations for the 2024/25 campaign officially kicked off last Friday, Salah was given extended leave after featuring for Egypt in the recent World Cup qualifiers.
The 32-year-old forward, known for his dedication both on and off the pitch, was seen strolling through the picturesque streets of Mykonos — a familiar spot for the Egyptian, who’s now visited for three summers in a row. A surprise cameo came from Olympiakos defender Rodinei, who bumped into Salah at a beach club and posted a selfie with the caption: “For this one you didn’t expect, me and Mo Salah random roll.”
Salah’s downtime follows a physically exhausting season in which he clocked up 44 games for Liverpool and another 10 for Egypt, including appearances in the Africa Cup of Nations, where he suffered a hamstring injury. Despite the wear and tear, the Liverpool talisman looked in incredible shape, with fans praising his sculpted physique as he relaxed beachside.
As his return to Liverpool looms, Salah faces a potentially pivotal moment in his career. He’s heading into the final year of his £400,000-a-week contract, and speculation is mounting about a possible move to Saudi Arabia, with multiple clubs reportedly interested. A meeting with Slot could determine whether he’ll extend his legendary stay at Anfield or pursue a fresh challenge elsewhere.
Either way, all eyes will be on Salah as he gears up for what could be a defining season in his already stellar career.
