“Arsenal is’very ready to deliver’ against Real Madrid on Tuesday night in a thrilling Champions League quarter-final first leg, which Mikel Arteta said is one of the club’s biggest evenings in 20 years.

Gabriel suffered a season-ending hamstring injury against Fulham on Tuesday, which is a serious setback for the north London club. However, they have a strong record in the competition, having only lost one of their last ten European games.

In contrast, Arteta feels optimistic about his team’s prospects because the Spanish powerhouses have dropped four of their last 12 Champions League matches.

The last time the two teams faced off in a meaningful match was in 2006, when Arsenal defeated their rivals 1-0 overall in the round of 16.

“I came into football, specifically to this football club, and I came into management because of that (this type of game),” Arteta stated. We haven’t had a game like this in twenty years.

Arteta has called on Arsenal fans to create a cauldron atmosphere at the Emirates in Tuesday night's first leg

Sixty-thousand individuals are adamant that we are prepared to defeat them. I want to think like that.

“100%” (one of the most important games in my managerial career). It’s enjoyable.

“To play the game we want and move the game in the direction we want, we’re going to implement all the ingredients and everything that is within our control.”

We want to be at this point, where Arsenal must constantly be. Being there makes us really proud, and we are now prepared to deliver tomorrow.

Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and Vinicius Jr. are just a few of the elite players on Real Madrid’s roster.

Following an examination into gestures they made towards Atletico Madrid supporters after Real Madrid defeated their city rivals to secure a spot in the round of eight, UEFA has cleared Mbappe, Vinicius Jr., former Chelsea player Antonio Rudiger, and Dani Ceballos to play.

In order to give his team the advantage, Arteta has urged Arsenal supporters to generate a fiery atmosphere at the Emirates.

“We’re going to need our people playing every single ball with us in order to achieve that (win),” he continued. That will have a significant impact since it is something that is desperately required.

“I urge them to arrive early for the warm-up and help us create those evenings that we haven’t experienced at the Emirates very often.”

Bukayo Saka, meanwhile, stated that he wants to concentrate on winning trophies at the north London club and is not in a haste to begin new contract negotiations with Arsenal.

The 23-year-old has two seasons left on his current contract, which he signed with the Emirates in 2023.

However, Saka’s enthusiasm for the team is evident, as he was given a wild welcome home against Fulham last Tuesday after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Saka stated, “I want to win and I want to win wearing this badge,” in response to a question concerning his contract status.

The fans are aware of my passion for them, so it’s quite obvious. You saw how much they loved me back when I came on Tuesday (against Fulham). Thus, the relationship is good. I’m thrilled to be here, and my goal is to win.

Nobody seems to be in a rush, in my opinion. Since I still have two years left on my contract, things are going really smoothly.
