Mesut Ozil’s recent Instagram post with a workout video suggests that he may return to sport. People who regularly keep an eye on his actions say he has changed a lot in appearance.
Since making his formal retirement announcement in March 2023, the 35-year-old has not participated in professional football. Ozil’s body has drastically changed as he works out hard at the gym with a weighted hammer in a video montage that the Arsenal icon made public.
By included an hourglass emoji and a note on the value of being ready at all times, the German celebrity hinted that she might make a reappearance when she shared the video on social media. Many football greats and supporters have penned letters endorsing Ozil’s change. The well-known former Manchester United player Rio Ferdinand expressed his respect for him by remarking, “My friend, you seem to be in exceptional physical shape.” Antonio Rudiger, a former Chelsea player, referred to it as a “beast.”
As stunned supporters demand that the devastated former Arsenal player come out of retirement, Mesut Ozil displays his incredible physical turnaround. One SunOne supporter said, “The individual has become so muscular that I could hardly identify them,” implying that they no longer recognized the previous midfield player. The World Cup champion German national team will travel to England this summer to compete in the Over-35 tournament.
He will be joined at the occasion by former Schalke attacker Kevin Kuriyani and former Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira. Ozil spent eight years with Arsenal, making over 250 games in all competitions after leaving Real Madrid in the summer of 2013 for £42.5 million.
During his tenure at the Emirates, he won four FA Cups and established a club record of 19 assists for the Gunners in the 2015–16 Premier League season.
Ozil will represent Germany in a U35 tournament in England this summer.
Ozil spent two years playing for Fenerbache after leaving North London. Then, in March, he announced his retirement from professional football after playing for Istanbul Basaksehir for a short time.
