Liverpool stars celebrate Premier League title in Dubai while Arne Slot parties in Ibiza
Liverpool’s Premier League champions have been enjoying some well-earned downtime in Dubai, celebrating their 20th top-flight title in true luxury. The squad jetted off after their 2-2 draw with Arsenal, marking the end of a hectic run of fixtures, and have since been seen soaking up the sun at the extravagant Atlantis The Royal hotel — widely promoted as “the most ultra-luxury experiential resort in the world.”
Videos on social media showed Reds stars like Virgil van Dijk, Alisson Becker, Kostas Tsimikas, Joe Gomez, and Diogo Jota strolling the lavish property and later indulging on a yacht, dining around an opulent table laden with high-end cuisine. Rooms at the hotel range from the relatively “modest” £840-a-night Royal Club King to the staggering £25,092-per-night Panoramic Penthouse.
While the players celebrated in Dubai, manager Arne Slot was spotted soaking in the vibes in Ibiza. The Dutchman, who replaced Jurgen Klopp last summer, became just the second Liverpool manager to win the league in the Premier League era and has already earned cult hero status among fans.
Slot’s Ibiza trip turned into a mini victory tour of its own. Spotted by EastEnders star Dean Gaffney, Slot was serenaded with Queen’s “We Are The Champions” upon entering a beach bar, where he was greeted with celebratory signs and cheers. Initially shy, Slot later joined in as “Freed From Desire”, a Liverpool anthem, echoed through the venue — even hopping into the DJ booth and enjoying the party.
Liverpool secured the title last month with a 5-1 thrashing of Tottenham, their 20th league crown, equalling Manchester United’s historic record. The Reds are back in action on Monday night against Brighton before lifting the trophy at Anfield the following Sunday after facing Crystal Palace. Captain Van Dijk is set to hoist the Premier League trophy in front of a rapturous home crowd.
