Liverpool defender Conor Bradley has agreed a new contract at Anfield, the club announced.
The 21-year-old joined Liverpool from Dungannon United in September 2019 and has since become an important part of the first-team squad, making his breakthrough last season under Jurgen Klopp.
Bradley has featured 27 times for Liverpool this season and is expected to get even more playing time next season under Arne Slot following Trent Alexander-Arnold’s departure.
ESPN sources have revealed the right-back’s new contract will run until June 2029, highlighting the club’s strong faith in the young player, highly valued by the Anfield management.
Liverpool will have a vacancy at right back next season as Alexander-Arnold has confirmed his exit at the end of the campaign. The England international is set to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.
Sources told ESPN Liverpool plan to trigger the release clause of Bayer Leverkusen wing-back Jeremie Frimpong, who is likely to challenge Bradley for the starting position.
Bradley signed his first professional deal with Liverpool in July 2020 and made his senior debut in September 2021 in a Carabao Cup match against Norwich City.
He made five appearances in the 2021-22 season before spending the next campaign on loan at Bolton Wanderers, where he was named Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year, and helped win the EFL Trophy at Wembley.
Bradley returned to Liverpool’s squad in summer 2023 and netted his first goal for the club against Chelsea in 2024.
The defender also earned a winner’s medal after the Carabao Cup final victory over Chelsea a month later.
