Mohamed Salah has cheekily invited Kevin De Bruyne to join Liverpool once he departs Manchester City next summer.
WHAT HAPPENED?
De Bruyne has already confirmed his intention to leave City at the conclusion of the 2024-25 season when his contract runs out. Though he hasn’t revealed his next move, the Belgian star has been heavily linked with a switch to Major League Soccer in the United States.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
As rumors swirl about De Bruyne’s next destination, Liverpool forward Salah made a light-hearted offer for him to move to Anfield as a free agent in 2025. Following City’s FA Cup final defeat to Crystal Palace, the 33-year-old midfield maestro also hinted that he may stay in England and continue playing in the Premier League.
WHAT MOHAMED SALAH SAID
In a conversation with Sky Sports, Salah said:
“I want to tell him congratulations for your career. He’s done a phenomenal job at City, and he was great for the league. I really wish him the best… and we have a space for him!”
WHAT’S NEXT FOR MOHAMED SALAH?
The Egyptian attacker, currently leading the Premier League 2024-25 Golden Boot race with 28 goals, will return to action on Monday. The newly crowned English champions are set to face Brighton in their next league outing.
