Jurgen Klopp returned to Anfield for the first time since leaving last summer as Liverpool wildly celebrated their Premier League win.
The German manager, who delivered Liverpool’s first-ever Premier League title during his nine-year reign, was in the stands as the Reds drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace before lifting the trophy in front of a jubilant home crowd.
Klopp will continue the celebrations by joining Liverpool’s open-top bus parade through the city on Monday.
The 57-year-old couldn’t celebrate his league triumph with fans in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic, but he made sure to be present as Liverpool did so five years later.
Mohamed Salah salvaged a late equaliser after Ismaila Sarr gave Palace a surprise lead just nine minutes into the match.
Salah also claimed the Premier League Golden Boot for a record fourth time, scoring 29 goals across 38 appearances this season.

The Egyptian also finished the season with 18 assists, the most in the league.
Klopp was seen joining in with fans chanting ‘Mo Salah, running down the wing’ as he sat in the directors’ box.
After the game, he caught up with the Liverpool squad and embraced his succesor Slot.
He also congratulated his old side with an Instagram post, writing: ‘Congratulations, Champions!! What a team, what a club, what a season! YNWA.’
The former boss was joined by Rafa Benitez, Champions League winner with Liverpool in 2005, as well as ex-captains Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson.
Meanwhile, legendary striker Alan Hansen, who was recently hospitalised with illness, handed captain Virgil van Dijk the trophy.
Klopp won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup at the club before leaving last season.
He jetted into Liverpool on Friday for a club charity foundation gala.
In a video message, posted on the club’s X account, Klopp said: ‘It took me a year to find my way back. But now I’m here.
‘What a weekend ahead wow. I heard that the city will be buzzing. And I will see it from a different perspective, from a very good perspective, from your perspective.

Klopp now works for Red Bull as the Head of Global Soccer. On Friday he blasted Reds fans for their treatment of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The 26-year-old defender will leave his boyhood club when his contract expires at the end of next month and is expected to join Real Madrid.
He played his last game for the club on Sunday but has felt the ire of many Liverpool fans since announcing his departure.
Speaking at a fundraising event for the LFC Foundation, Klopp said supporters were ‘wrong’ to boo him and passionately defended the England star.
‘I don’t want to tell you what you have to think. I can tell you what you think is wrong,’ Klopp said.
