Nando’s and England and Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka have collaborated to produce the restaurant’s first-ever sauce, adding a unique touch to the menu

The restaurant’s first sauce partnership, the PERi-PERi Saka, was created by Nando’s and Arsenal and England forward Bukayo Saka, adding a distinctive twist.

Although some may be surprised by this match, it makes sense given Saka’s nickname, “Little Chilli.” Saka has already starred in Nando’s television advertisements, and the restaurant has even hosted his father’s birthday celebration, demonstrating the depth of their relationship. The outcome of their collaboration is a new sauce for Nando’s menu that combines the restaurant’s famous PERi-PERi with Saka’s favorite flavors. A medium-heat mixture of tomato, garlic, and smoked paprika, the limited-edition sauce has a smoky, spicy, and sweet taste.

Saka states, “The sauce blends sweetness, spiciness, and smokiness.” I adore it and am eager for everyone to give it a try. Since I’ve loved Nando’s since I was a child, it’s amazing to see my own PERi-PERi sauce in every location! I wanted my family to like it as well, and when my dad declared that he was a fan, I knew it was the one.

However, the bottle itself is a visual delight, so the partnership goes beyond the sauce. To produce the artwork, Nando’s hired designer Reuben Dangoor, who is well-known for his unique adidas Predator design, viral Gareth Southgate drawing, and work on Beckham’s FIFA 22 uniform. This marks the first time Nando’s has collaborated with an artist on its sauce bottles, demonstrating the company’s continued commitment to incorporating design and art into its products.

In homage to the dramatic kitchen sequences of the well-known TV series The Bear, Saka took to the kitchen to celebrate the debut, assembling a group of chefs to make his vision a reality.
