‘Diamond’ duo of Feyenoord is being eyed by Man Utd to bolster offensive

Orkun Kokcu, a midfielder for Feyenoord, is reportedly a target for Manchester United this summer.

Tyrell Malacia, a defender for Feyenoord, made a wise choice with his first transfer under Erik ten Hag.

Manchester United reportedly have Orkun Kokcu on their radar, according to specialized Feyenoord outlet 1908.nl.

He can be considered a far more affordable alternative to Jude Bellingham for the summer and, according to 1908, Dortmund had even reportedly scouted him as the Englishman’s replacement last summer.

Manchester United is considering Orkun Kokcu

Orkun Kokcu, a 22-year-old ɑттɑck-minded central midfielder, now serves as Feyenoord’s captain. He pledged allegiance to Turkey after previously playing for the Netherlands at the junior level and already having 20 caps.

The talented midfielder has 12 goals this season across all competitions and is willing to strike from outside the box, which gives him a flair for a stunning goal.

Last year, former midfielder Mohamed Sissoko extolled him to TuttoJuve, saying: “I envision him playing in many roles. He impressed me as a central midfielder and an ɑттɑcking midfielder. He is ideal for the pivot position in a three-man midfield.

“Modric. For me, (Kokcu) plays with the same level of quality. He has the capacity to rise to his level.

Of course, emulating Modric is a high bar to meet. Yet, Kokcu’s manner of ԀeatҺ shows why. He is producing 2.8 chances on average per game in the Eredivisie this year.

He produced nine opportunities in one game against Fortuna earlier in the season, demonstrating his capacity to control games.

Kokcu will be known to Erik ten Hag and Tyrell Malacia personally, and the Feyenoord connections with Robin van Persie can’t hurt either.

Less money would be available for a midfielder if a striker made a big-money move. If Manchester United decides Kokcu is the right fit, he would be a reasonably cost choice.

Man Utd most interested in signing Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez

According to a report from the Mexican outlet W Deportes, Manchester United is the team most eager to recruit Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez this summer.

Due to Anthony Martial’s ongoing fitness difficulties, the Red Devils are anticipated to look for a new striker before the 2019–2020 season.

The club has been linked with a number of well-known players, including Harry Kane, but according to W Deportes, United are closely monitoring Gimenez’s development.

The Mexican made a summer transfer from Cruz Azul to Feyenoord, and he has had a strong debut campaign with 18 goals and four assists in 37 games.

According to W Deportes, United has not only observed the player in action but has also initiated “initial contact” with the player’s support group regarding a transfer.

Brighton & Hove Albion and other teams are keeping an eye on the Mexican, who has a €20m release clause in his contract, but United are the team that is “particularly interested” in signing him.

Gimenez is a compelling candidate for United.

The 21-year-old was largely unknown prior to joining Feyenoord, but the current campaign has undoubtedly helped him build up his profile.

The Mexican’s Eredivisie team had a sluggish start to the season, but his play has been fairly outstanding since the World Cup, with frequent goal contributions.

He was apparently being watched by United during the most recent game against Ajax, and it now seems they are in communication with his management over a potential transfer this summer.

In our opinion, the Red Devils should chase two forwards in the upcoming transfer window while speculating on the possibility of offloading Martial after the season.

Gimenez may serve as a useful backup off the bench while they target a star striker like Kane or Victor Osimhen to lead the ɑттɑck on a regular basis.
