Real Madrid’s perspective on their prospects of completing a transfer for Erling Haaland from Manchester City has come to light.
Three weeks ago, it was reported that the £175 million release clause in the Norwegian’s contract had been removed and that City would offer him a contract extension.
Before this update, it was widely believed that Erling Haaland would transfer to Real Madrid from Manchester City.
Consequently, the internal sentiments of the Spanish powers regarding their chances of signing him have come to the forefront.

How Real Madrid feel about their Haaland transfer chances
Since joining Pep Guardiola’s side, the £51 million (Eurosport) player has been unstoppable, as he is presently Europe’s leading scorer with 51 goals in all competitions.
Real Madrid attempted to sign Erling Haaland prior to his move to Manchester City, so it has become apparent how they feel about their future prospects.

Miguel Delaney wrote in the Independent’s newsletter, “The Real Madrid hierarchy likely wishes to maintain cordial relations with the Haaland family, as it is widely believed that Erling Haaland will be joining the club ‘within three years, probably sooner’.”
Delaney elaborated on when Real Madrid believes they will be able to secure the transfer of Erling Haaland from Manchester City, stating, “Some are even insisting that the move will take place before the 2024-25 season. This will come as a ꜱᴜгρгιꜱе to Manchester City, the only modern ꜱʋper club that has not yet lost any of its leaders or highest-paid players to гιᴠal clubs.
They will not want to begin with a player who is already a greater star than anyone they’ve had at the club before.
Every club will ꜱtгᴜɡɡlе to remove Haaland from the Etihad Stadium

Even if Erling Haaland desires a transfer from Manchester City to Real Madrid in the future, it would be difficult to complete the transaction.
The 22-year-old is presently arguably the best player in the world, and his value will only increase as he continues to develop.
Haaland’s current contract expires in 2027, and extending it would only make it more difficult for Los Blancos to retain him in the future.
Therefore, Los Blancos’ reported goal of acquiring him in 2024 is, to say the least, ambitious.
