Harry Kane’s Representatives Hold Talks with European Giant PSG for Potential Summer Transfer

According to reports, Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur is being courted by Paris Saint-Germain.

After missing out on Robert Lewandowski, PSG is гᴜмогеԀ to be prioritizing a move for a number nine and likes the look of Kane.

Additionally, Kane has reportedly been approached, according to the French publication Foot Mercato.

With just over a year left on his deal with the North Londoners, the seasoned frontman’s future is a topic of inevitable conjecture.

As it stands, if Spurs do not get a bid that satisfies their valuation, they will seriously contemplate keeping their important player.

But by failing to earn Champions League qualification—something Kane wants at this point in his career—their negotiation position has been weakened.

There is a case to be made that Spurs cannot afford to гιꜱƙ losing Kane to a free transfer in 2024 given the money they will lose by declining to participate in that competition.

Spurs’ chairman Daniel Levy is reportedly still opposed to selling the 29-year-old to a Premier League competitor, especially given that the club is in Ԁа𝚗ɡег of being relegated from the top division of English football.

However, should Kane indicate a wish to go, selling to a foreign club will be an option, and it seems that moving to France is a possibility.

Foot Mercato reports that PSG is prepared to give attention to trying to persuade Kane to move across the English Channel.

According to the source, football advisor Luis Campos has already spoken with the players’ agents to see if a deal is feasible.

But convincing Kane to join could be challenging given that the striker is chasing Alan Shearer’s Premier League goal record.

Kane is currently second on the all-time list after Shearer, who finished with 260.

Kane’s departure from Spurs this summer may also be prohibited, and the club may seek £100 million for the 29-year-old.

Although there had “not been much talking” about a new deal with Spurs, Kane remarked in January that he was “sure there will be conversations over the coming months.”

This summer, PSG must strengthen their position with FFP, and there is also a plan to adapt their approach by signing younger players rather than more established stars.

However, it is stated that PSG want to recruit a new number nine, especially because Neymar and Lionel Messi may both depart Parc des Princes in the near future.

Once he formally agrees to a permanent contract in the summer, Hugo Ekitike is probably going to follow the same path out of Parc des Princes, leaving PSG in need of reinforcements.

If a foreign team puts together such a proposal, Spurs may contemplate selling for around £80 million, with any bid from Premier League rivals likely needing to be higher.

Kane is supposedly the player that Manchester United is most interested in signing this summer, but interest in him is spreading throughout Europe.

According to SunSport, United have also spoken with Kane about a potential summer transfer.

Kane’s current £200,000 weekly wage would be dramatically increased by the Red Devils.
