Midway through the 2022–23 season, Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo switched from Manchester United to Al-Nassr, but he has already been linked to moves outside of Saudi Arabia.

According to mirror, businessman Markus Schon has made a special proposal to pay for a probable transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo to Bayern Munich this summer. Bayern Munich now has the chance to sign the Portuguese striker, who departed Manchester United for Al-Nassr during the 2022–23 season and has been linked with a return to Europe.
Although there are still whispers of Ronaldo returning to Europe, he has scored 13 goals for the Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr since his move. Before Ronaldo moved to Al-Nassr, Bayern Munich was гᴜмогed to be interested in signing him, but CEO Oliver Kahn dismissed the idea. Businessman Markus Schon, though, has emailed Kahn directly with a proposal that would finance the transfer and possibly share in jersey sales revenue to reduce financial гιꜱƙ.
“It would be conceivable that we could undertake to pay a transfer fee or loan fee in excess of a basic amount to be defined if our company is clearly seen as ‘facilitating’ the difference,” Schon wrote, per Abendzeitung (via Football Transfers ). “In the event of a permanent commitment, we would expect a share in the proceeds from the jersey in order to limit our financial гιꜱƙ.”

Cristiano Ronaldo has been said to be leaving Al-Nassr this summer
Ronaldo would probably have to take a wage reduction from his current Al-Nassr contract, which reputedly makes him the highest-paid player in the world, for the transaction to be successful. He has till 2025 left on his Saudi club deal. Ronaldo does not fit with the club’s ethos and goals, according to Kahn, the CEO of Bayern Munich. It will be interesting to see if there will be a change of heart now that this fresh plan is on the table.
Schon’s plan would need Kahn to change his mind in order to be successful. The club president, who was also a goalkeeper for Bayern and Germany, said in November that the Bavarian club’s goals didn’t suit a move for the forward, who is now 38.
“We have already dealt with this,” Kahn told Sky Germany, “We have a clear idea, a clear philosophy of how our squad should be put together. We all appreciate him, there’s no discussion. We all love Cristiano Ronaldo, but that’s something that doesn’t fit into our idea.”

Oliver Kahn, the CEO of Bayern, has previously downplayed гᴜмогs of a transfer
Bayern Munich was reportedly interested in signing Ronaldo last summer when he was looking to join a UEFA Champions League team. Ronaldo’s former team, Manchester United, missed out on a top-four Premier League finish despite having the season’s best scorer.
The club’s viewpoint had also been made plain by Kahn throughout the summer. Bayern did improve their front line, but they did so by bringing in Matthys Tel from Rennes and Sadio Mane from Liverpool.
Although there are still challenges standing in the way of Ronaldo joining Bayern Munich, such as the necessity for a shift in the team’s mentality and a wage cut for the player, the businessman’s offer has provided a fresh starting point for conversations. As the summer transfer window approaches, it is unclear whether Bayern Munich and Ronaldo will pursue this possibility further.
