Messi continued to be booed on the day of his farewell to PSG

Messi left PSG on June 4 in the morning following a 2-3 loss to Clermont in round 38 of Ligue 1.

Boos once more filled the Parc des Princes stands when Lionel Messi’s name appeared on the enormous electronic board.

Messi made an appearance alongside his two boys Mateo and Ciro, sporting a bright smile. Along with Messi, Sergio Ramos also played in his final game for PSG. The two top athletes, who both declined to extend their contracts with the French champions, will be allowed to leave for free.

Messi gave it his all in the most recent game, making 6 shots and creating 3 chances, but he was unable to score for PSG. Messi appeared to be enjoying himself in the second period of injury time, but goalkeeper Mory Diaw still made an outstanding save on the former Barcelona captain’s free kick attempt into the high corner.

After just 21 minutes, the defending champion France was up 2-0 on goals from Ramos and Kylian Mbappe. However, the host team lost to Clermont 2-3 as a result of a careless and disorganized defense.

With PSG, Messi completed two seasons with 75 games, 32 goals, 35 assists, two Ligue 1 titles, and one French Super Cup.

Messi is reportedly considering moving to Al Hilal, where he would earn 1.2 billion euros over the course of two seasons, which is three times more than Ronaldo now makes at Al Nassr. The Saudi government provides this team with assistance and support.
