Liverpool £30m target officially leave club, he could join Anfield as free agent

Evan Ndicka, who is reportedly a target for Liverpool, is expected to depart Eintracht Frankfurt for free.

In the months preceding the season’s end, Ndicka’s transfer to Anfield has been mentioned. There was, though, a glimmer of hope that the Frenchman may extend his contract with Eintracht past this summer.

But as of right now, Ndicka will finish out his present contract and depart for free, according to a statement on Frankfurt’s official website.

Markus Krosche, director of sport, adds, “We would have liked to see Evan at Eintracht Frankfurt in the future, so it’s a shame that he’s leaving us.”

“At the same time, we’d like to thank Evan for our five years of working together, during which he played often despite being a young athlete. He has contributed to Eintracht Frankfurt’s athletic success and upward progress. We send him our warmest wishes for the future.

Ndicka begins speaking with Roma

After leaving Eintracht, Ndicka doesn’t seem to have wasted any time planning his next course of action.

The 23-year-old is already in discussions with Roma, according to today’s report by journalist Fabrizio Romano. The Italians have gained an advantage over their rivals by having a contract offer on the table already.

Competition is also probably going to exist. This summer, a lot of clubs will be interested in Ndicka because he is a top young defender with years ahead of him.

As they want to add a little more stability to their defense, Liverpool might be one of them.

The Reds, though, run the risk of falling behind a little because they are currently concentrating on adding players to the midfield.

They won’t be very bothered by it, to be honest. You would think Liverpool would be able to at least match Roma in terms of salary and possibly surpass them in terms of a sporting endeavor. They could effectively swoop in if they wanted to.

If they don’t, it’s likely that the Reds will move on to another target. They won’t be as economically efficient as Ndicka, but they’ll still make sure they get something out of it.
