Man Utd given ‘green light’ to sign Serie A ‘top-scorer’ as club ready to sell

According to Corriere dello Sport (page 18), Juventus will probably sell Dusan Vlahovic after failing to earn a spot in the Champions League for the upcoming season.

The Serbian international’s 18 months at the Bianconeri have been challenging, and it is said that he is ‘seeking for a relaunch’ of his career for the upcoming campaign.

Juventus is also willing to let him go, even if doing so could cost them €80m in revenue from not playing in the Champions League.

The 23-year-old cost €80m when he moved from Fiorentina to Turin in January 2022, and it is rumored that he might fetch a similar sum now.

In addition to Manchester United, other teams thought to be interested in him include Bayern Munich, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain.

United might pursue Vlahovic

The Red Devils’ top priority striker target right now is Harry Kane, but they believe they won’t acquire him because Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is unwilling to sell to a Premier League opponent.

As a result, the club could need to consider other transfer market options. Given his youth and tremendous potential, Vlahovic might be one of those people.

The Serbian’s final year at Fiorentina was outstanding. His 33 goals in Serie A were astounding, and many people likened him to players like Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.

With only 17 Premier League goals in 18 months, he has had difficulty settling in at Juventus, but he continues to draw significant attention as the summer transfer market approaches.

In his brief career, Vlahovic has dazzled with his positioning and finishing abilities, and United manager Erik ten Hag may be persuaded to bring him to Old Trafford before the upcoming season.

At Ajax, Ten Hag had good results working with Sebastien Haller, a more conventional striker, and he may do the same with Vlahovic. The striker had excellent opportunities in the box that he could take advantage of.

Last year, Bruno Fernandes’ numbers were relatively similar to Kevin De Bruyne’s, but owing to the lack of a reliable finisher, he had significantly fewer assists. Vlahovic might be the answer for United.
