Following reports that the Fenerbache midfielder has a £15m release clause in his contract, Manchester United supporters are pleading with Bruno Fernandes to assist the team in signing the youngster.
The 18-year-old Turkish player is one of the most sought-after prospects in European football going into the summer transfer window after contributing four assists and scoring six goals in 33 appearances for his team this year. He may be available this summer for a low cost because of a €17.5m (£15m) release clause in his current deal, according to reports.
And as a result, there have been rumors that Guler would be moving on to a different team, sending fans’ hearts racing across the globe. United supporters believe they have discovered a definite edge for their team given the possibility of a transfer race to capture Guler.
In regards to the next season, Fernandes, who formerly played for Sporting Lisbon under current Fenerbahce manager Jorge Jesus, wrote to Guler last summer. Fernandes is heard saying: “Hello, Arda Guler. All I want to do is wish you the best during this time.
“I hope you will appreciate working with a Portuguese coach, especially Marcio Sampaio. He may not be the best fitness coach you will ever have, but at least he’s a lovely guy.
“I sincerely hope you enjoy it and have a wonderful season.” With the excellent coach you have this season, I hope you can win a ton of games and medals.
United supporters have now re-shared the video in an effort to get Fernandes to support their team in finalizing the signing of the promising young player during this summer’s transfer window.
Erik ten Hag prioritizes a new center-forward and dynamic midfielder with Harry Kane and Mason Mount the top targets, so it is unclear whether Guler’s rumored release clause will be invoked by United this summer.
