As he considers his football career, Anthony Martial has posted a number of vacation photos on his Instagram page.
The Manchester United front’s future is uncertain because of his patchy club performance and United’s ongoing quest for a replacement forward.
When he first joined the Red Devils as a teenager, he exploded onto the scene and has struggled ever since throughout his eight years with the team.
During that time, he has scored 87 goals, but last season, he only played in 29 games and scored nine goals as he struggled to maintain a spot in the starting lineup.
Despite having one year left on his contract, he might potentially depart the team this summer.
After traveling abroad during the off-season, Martial loosened his shirt and relaxed on a balcony while taking in the sights.
His two posts received a flood of comments from United supporters encouraging him to succeed next season and disprove the naysayers.
One Instagram user commented, “You don’t know ball if you don’t rate Tony.”
One more wrote, “Please stay!” while another added, “My goat.”
But everything wasn’t all roses. One fan said on one of the posters, which only allowed a few comments, “Please quit United. Please, I ask you. I’ll drive you wherever you need to go.
One more remarked, “The only time you’re fit is when you’re on vacation.”
Erik ten Hag, the manager of United, is a fan of Anthony Martial but acknowledged that it has been difficult to get a fit and available Martial.
The Dutchman claimed last season that you couldn’t score if you weren’t accessible.
“We played better when he was available, the team is winning games, he’s also scoring goals, but he has to be available,” the player said.
Martial has been linked with both Sevilla and Aston Villa; nevertheless, he may stay at United to serve as competition and backup for a prospective new forward for the upcoming season. Martial had a brief time on loan at Sevilla during the 2021–22 season.
